I just had a system drive go down; I'm pretty sure it's completely kaput. No worries, as I don't have any data on that drive, just programs - including one of my CS3 installs - the other is on my laptop.
How do I "regain" that activation: as far as Adobe knows, I've got my 2 activated copies of CS3. But I can't deactivate the copy on the dead drive.
What's the way to go about this?
The way to go about this is once you reinstall your CS3, you will receive an error message saying that you have exceeded the allowable activation. Call Adobe customer service and tell them that your hardrive crashed and you had no chance of deactivating it. You will then be asked to do a procedure where a code will be generated to override the previous activation. Once you enter this code, you will be all set.
Thanks. As soon as I install another drive, I'll have a go at it.
