I am using the english version of Adobe Reader 9.4.1. I need to view billing statements available on the website of our electricity supplier in Japan. The first time I clicked on their pdf link, I was prompted to load the Japanese Font Pack, which I did. The rendered document looked very nice except nearly every place there should have been numbers, there were x's instead. For instance, the year 2010 was rendered as 20XX and the billing amount in yen was rendered as X,XXX. The problem is the same in Firefox 3.6.13 and IE 7.0
Any idea how to fix this?
Your document seems to display correctly. Perhaps because it is a form. Also, the fonts at the bottom are different. Is the problem with the company that created the document link?
Is the problem with the company that created the document link?
It is possible, but not sure.
Can you try to access that PDF on a Japanese system with the Japanese Reader version installed? Then we will know if the problem lies with the English Reader version, or with the original Japanese document.
