I have read from multiple places that Fireworks is used for rapid prototyping. What does it mean by prototyping? Is it not intended to design actual websites? Is it not intended for laying out entire pages and slicing them up and exporting the html and sliced graphics to a web server?
You can use Fireworks for design and image production.
You should not use Fireworks to produce HTML code. Fireworks does not have upload capability.
The recommended workflow is to use Fireworks as a design/layout tool, slice and export your graphics. Then, go to Dreamweaver to build your site based on the FW design. Dreamweaver is a code authoring environment and has site management tools.
When going from FW to DW, are you suggesting to use FW as a blueprint to base a page designed from scratch on in DW? To not export the html code from FW into DW?
