    ? Deploying EAR/WAR Files on CF 7 and IIS6

      Hi all,
I really need some assistance with this if someone would be so kind ...
      My set up - CF 7.0.2, JRun4 Updater 6, Server 2003 R2, and IIS 6.
Problem - I create either an EAR or WAR file using CF admin. Create a server instance using CF admin. Open the JRun admin and deploy the EAR/WAR to the newly created CF instance. Set up IIS to point to the directory containing the EAR/WAR. Hit<virtual_site_name> and get "You are not authorized to view this page". I've been checking all the permissions in every place that I can think of. I start CF with a different account rather than local so I'm thinking that might be an issue, but don't know where I'm going wrong. I've been to the end of Google and back, but can't find any clear step by step directions or even hints for all of the settings in CF admin for creating an EAR/WAR.

Can someone please help me out with this?
      Thank you for your time.

If you have found the solution, please share it with us.

I am new to ColdFusion and have been trying to learn much about it.

Here are some things I was thinking about that might trigger a response from
someone out there who knows the answer:

          * In IIS Admin, shouldn't there be two web sites running? The 'Default Web Site'
and a new web site you created using IIS Admin.
          * You mentioned that you're hitting<virtual_site_name>, but it seems
to me that you should have been using host headers instead? Host headers
          are configured in IIS Admin.
          * You did not mention how you tried to get IIS to communicate with the new
instance. Meaning, even though you setup IIS to point to the new directory,
you did not mention how you specified with IIS to use the new instance.

Anyway, sorry to see no one has helped out.

          Good luck!
