There are 'History Log' options as part of Photoshop's preferences… If these options don't suit your requirements then you should have your script use a File object and write your custom data to that instead…
Any idea how to have my script use a File object and write your custom data to that instead?
I am not very good at creating scripts... just modifyuing them!
Here is the basics....
//Create logfile on the desktop var Loginfo = new File(Folder.desktop + "/Script Log.txt"); Loginfo.open("w", "TEXT", "????"); //Write the date and time to the log Loginfo.writeln(new Date()); //Close the log Loginfo.close();
Any suggetstions on how to email this original log file automatically when done?
Can we have the java script send an email?
It will depend on the e-mail system you are using and the OS.
There is an example here for setting up mail in Bridge..
I used some VB code and executed that (Windows & Outlook)
There will be other ways, so a Google search might help.
