I have a spry content slideshow on the home page of a client's site
Works perfectly in every browser but IE- in IE the images either don't show up at all or only left half of the image is displayed...
when I run the wc3 css validator I am getting these errors
|22||.WLBSlideShow||Property -webkit-border-radius doesn't exist : 0 0|
|24||.WLBSlideShow||Property -moz-box-shadow doesn't exist : 0 0 0 0 0 0|
|25||.WLBSlideShow||Property -webkit-box-shadow doesn't exist : 0 0 0 0 0 0|
|26||.WLBSlideShow||Property box-shadow doesn't exist in CSS level 2.1 but exists in : 10px 5px 10px gray 10px 5px 10px gray|
|169||.WLBSlideShow .story||Property -webkit-border-top-right-radius doesn't exist : 0 0|
|184||.WLBSlideShow .photo img||Property -webkit-border-top-left-radius doesn't exist : 0 0|
Could this be the cause of my image problems in IE? can I just delete these lines? Or is there a better way to eliminate borders and shadows that won't confuse IE , or is the problem origination somewhere else all together?
and note - where validator writes the code like : 0 0
I have writtne it like this : 0px;
thanks for the help!
The problems do not come from the non-validating CSS. If a browser does not understand a style rule, it merely ignores it. Incidently, The so-called non-validating rules are proprietary properties for certain browsers.
When I look at your page in IE it is very jumpy; but does work. This may have something to do with the size of the images. Try optimizing these.
