Once ADE is downloaded is it on your computer somewhere?

I finally just figured out how to rent eBooks from my local library and get them onto my Nook via Adobe Digital Editions.

I went through figuring it out and got a book to transfer to my nook. Once I closed everything out I wanted to go back to my ADE bookshelf but my computer says that it's not found.

When I am ready to borrow a new eBook from my local library, where do I go on my computer to find ADE so that it will be able to download successfully?

Do I have to go online to adobe.com every time and find it there?

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

I had the same problem, having to go to Adobe website to launch ADE. A real PITA. I knew that ADE had to be on my computer somewhere, yet a seach would come up empty. So I dug around and found it in Program Files(x86)---->Adobe--->Adobe Digital Editions. I created a shortcut in the taskbar and now all is well.
