Lower third text filled with a video

    Chic01taliano

      Hi,

i would like to know if it's possible to have this simple text as lower third filled with a video.

I have achieved to fill a text using Track Matte Key, but then i don't know how to actually reveal the main video through the whole stuff.

      Any help will be appreciated.

      Thanks

      Alex

Alex, do you want the "background" Video to show through, or another Video stream?

For the background Video, just design a Lower-third with ONLY Stroke, no Fill, and then the Text.

For the latter, think PiP for another Video stream showing, and then use the Shape with the Stroke, and Text idea.

          Good luck,

Thank you very much for your prompt answer Mr. Hunt

I have managed to have that effect this way:

            Video 1 = Background Video

Video 2 = Fire Sample Video > Track Matte Key; Matte Video 3

            Video 3 = Blank Text

Is this an effective way to achieve that effect or you do recommend a more subtle one ?

That's probably about the most direct way to achieve this in Premiere Pro.

You can animate just the text layer, and the fill video will appear to move inside the text (even though it is actually staying in place). If you want to move both the text and the fill video, nest those two clip together, and then animate the nest.

                Alex,

Yes, and I also like Colin's suggestion.

Something to explore would be to perhaps put a Stroke around "Fire," and let the video play within that - or maybe not, depending on the look that you want.

You could even alter the Opacity of the "Fire," if you wanted a little bit of the background Video to show "through" the Fire. It just depends.

                Good luck,
