You must be using Internet explorer. Well let me tell you Active X is required with Adobe reader and flash player installation when installing through Internet Explorer.
1. Download Mozilla firefox.
2. Try downloading Adobe reader.
If Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is turned on you will need to turn it off before attempting to download Adobe Reader. If you are running Windows XP SP2 or SP3, turn off DEP by editing the Boot.ini file as described in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875352. Boot.ini is a system file. If you don't feel comfortable modifying system files, don't try it.
I've been trying this for weeks, and just get "connecting..." in the stupid "getplus" program. What a joke.
The direct download from the enterprise site worked beautifully. Can anyone explain to me why this solution isn't found anywhere in Adobe's troubleshooting pages?
