What version of Premiere Pro? Have you installed the Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.3) update? (The recent updates fix some issues with importing large images.) What operating system? Tell us more about your computer.
Welcome to the forum.
Can you also give us the full details of the JPEG's, especially the Color Mode, the Baseline (Progressive?) and the pixel x pixel dimensions?
Thanks for replying everyone.
I deleted the images in my files, which sorted the issue. It must have been down to importing a dodgy jpg!
Though I most often use PSD's, and not JPEG's, here are some things to look into, with JPEG's:
- Color Mode - must be RGB
- Bit-depth - should be 8-bit (that is also what JPEG's default to)
- Baseline - should not be Progressive (used to display a rough image, while the JPEG loads onto a Web site)
- Pixel x Pixel Dimensions - unless there is a compelling reason to use larger images, should not be much larger, than the Frame Size of the Project
- Well Formed Headers - some programs play fast and loose with JPEG headers. Having a good one will insure success.
