1. Re: How to save feathering in web and web/devices?
Marian Driscoll Jan 25, 2011 10:05 AM (in response to Budo Cat)What other transparent file formats are available to you in 'Save for Web...'?
GIF does not offer the type of transparency you seek.

Budo Cat Jan 25, 2011 3:49 PM (in response to Marian Driscoll)Thank you, Marian. I wasn't aware that gifs don't allow transparencies. Just did some reading to understand it better.
I tried to save the image in web/devices as a png, but the feathering wasn't holding up for that either. But I figured out a work-around. Not sure I could duplicate it, though.

[scott] Jan 25, 2011 3:55 PM (in response to Budo Cat)PNG24 will support transparency very well. Whether or not the "device" you are saving for supports PNG24 is another matter.

Budo Cat Jan 25, 2011 4:07 PM (in response to [scott])Ah, that's the problem. I was saving as PNG8.
Thanks very much. Maybe I'll go back and do it all over again.
