I have downloaded Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Shockwave Player to play some swf files I have downloaded.  These files still say that Windows can't open them though and I don't know why.  I've tried uninstalling reinstalling etc but the computer doesn't seem to know the Flash Player is there.

Thanks anyone who will help me fix this!!!

hi

are you clicking on the swf file or the html file?

if you want to run the swf file on its own then you will need the standalone flashplayer (you can get it here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html).

if you want to run it in the browser then drag the swf (or use file/open) into a browser window.
