I`ve inserted a flash gallery (link to external file) which is using XML and external images.
After publishing to Shockwave (dcr+html) the browser application consumes a lot of resources - on my Quad one core it is used up to 85-90%.
The same gallery embedded in html barely moves one core up to 5 %.
Is there any way to optimize this behavior?
I`ve tried DTS but it doesn`t improve the browser behavior .
The CPU it is at the same level in Director and browser at playback time.
In IE8 it`s even worse – the browser freezes
I`ve found http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14115.html (Tips for using Flash sprites in Director) - but the links for further documentation are dead.
My Director version is 11 with the latest hotfix.
