Shockwave with flash gallery (XML) consumes huge processor power when published to web

I`ve inserted a flash gallery (link to external file) which is using XML and external images.
After publishing to Shockwave (dcr+html) the browser application consumes a lot of resources - on my Quad one core it is used up to 85-90%.
The same gallery embedded in html barely moves one core up to 5 %.
Is there any way to optimize this behavior?
