I don't think that I understand what you are trying to accomplish. Do
you want to have a Director movie that has scroll bars so that you can
scroll the entire movie, or do you want to have a text sprite that
scrolls and is contained in the Director movie?
I already have a scrolling text box. What I can't figure out is why the scroll bars that are normally in the browser window, aren't there, and what to do about it. They aren't there in HTML or a Projector.
Like Rob, I'm not sure I understand your question.
Doesn't the browser automatically provide scroll bars if the content it
is displaying is too large for its display area?
Projector windows won't ever have scroll bars. From your description it
sounds like you are either losing the scroll bars on the text sprite,
or, your text sprite is too long for the size of the stage window and
you want to have the Director stage window have scroll bars to show this
extended content. Are either of those correct? Or is the problem
something else? Are you seeing something different in authoring mode
than you see at runtime?
Exactly. I want to have access to content greater than the screen like you have in a web document.
I'm still not sure what you want to have. Do you want to be able to
scroll the actual Director movie window? If that's the case, then you
can't really do that.
If its something else, then please explain in more detail.
clik on the text, go to property inspector, clik on text sub-bar, change framing from fixed to scrolling.
