On a "traditional" web page, I can do <input type="checkbox" name="myCheckBox" value="1"> to associate a value to a check box in addition to determining whether the check box is checked. However, I can only find ways to see whether a check box is checked; are there any ways I can associate a value to a check box? If so, how can I do that?
Thanks in advance,
you can't do this on a check box iirc (you can on radiobuttons) i suggest subclassing checkbox if you must do it this way
create an Actionscript class that extends CheckBox
in that class, define a property called 'value' with getters and setters
override the 'set selected' method (be sure to add 'super.selected = <new value>)
as part of the above method, make any changes to the 'value' property as needed.
then use this class whereever you want this behavior from your checkBox.
i think that should work...
