We have some PDF files embedded in some of our Access Databases. Our users with only Reader installed can open the files just fine; however, when the window is closed, an error comes up with the explanation:
OLE Server may not be registered. To register the OLE Server, please reinstall it.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling every version of Adobe Reader from 6 to X with the same outcome. However, upon trying the full version of Acrobat, the error went away. This is also the case on another user's computer with Acrobat 8 installed who accesses the database.
My question is this: Is there a setting in Reader that will cancel out that error? Or alternatively, is there some reason why Adobe Reader has that issue with Access when Acrobat does not?
