I second that. We are running in the browser, is there no way to get the html control to use the browser rendering engine and pass it to the flex application? This is big missing feature from flex and the existing iframe hacks to get around this are not good long term solutions.
On a related topic, the HTML rendering engine in AIR is troublesome itself. It forces developers to develop for IE/ Firefox and now AIR (HTML Rendering engine). One of the reasons we moved to flex in the first place.
If Flash Player could use the browser HTML rendering engine to URL integrate, all existing developed apps for IE/Firefox would work. I really want to get away from the iframe layering hacks :-/ PLEASE ADOBE :)
I third that :) HTML has no alternative yet.
I did (prior to your message) but logged as an enhancement.
