never posted before so excuse if I have the wrong forum...
I've just built a new PC as follows (due to fact old PC couldn't run Premiere Elements 9!!):
Asustek P8H67-M Evo motherboard
Intel i5-2500K CPU
4 Gig RAM
2 x 1TB Samsung data drives
1 x 50Gig system drive
My question is is PE9 utilising the built-in GPU effectively and how do I check? Is there anything I need to set?
1st, forum you want is http://forums.adobe.com/community/premiere_elements
2nd, only Premiere Pro CS5 uses the GPU for anything special, and that is only for selected nVidia cards
PreElements does not have the ability to do anything other than a standard display, the same with any card
Although... you may be happier with a real card with distinct video memory, instead of a motherboard chip that uses system memory
But... go to the forum I linked above
thanks John, will try the correct forum...
I'm happy with the board and chip I have thanks - just want to make the most of it. I see Intel have release a plugin for both CS5 and Premiere elements though...
