Are you using the * key on the numerical keypad?
Is NumLock ON?
Yes, my NumLock is on. First thing I checked.
This is very frustrating.
Using PPro 5.03 in Vista 64 bit, same problem when using source window. But it
works OK when the clip is on the Timeline.
Sorry, I mean using the asterisk key in the timeline, not the source monitor.
YES!!! Thats the same deal. Source window only.
Ok.... so on 64-bit this is a known issue?
Yes, i used to have that, but not on every project.
Have not seen it in a while.
Does it occur in every new project?
No, not every project.
Actually I think it has to do with the actual audio file. But I can't figure out why.
JUST THIS MORNING.....
In the same project, I am working this morning, a music 44hz mp3 file will accept the markers, but a narration track at 48hz mp3 doesn't.
I have trouble believing its the Hz thats the issue... but I haven't been able to prove it yet.
In that case try Render and Replace for the audio file.
Yep, did that too. Nada.
Whoops... sorry Ann. (I meant @Ann, not @Bill)
Import project into new project, have you tried that?
I will try that.
