You can up the memory allocated in your "Flash Builder 4.ini" file. From a quick google, this http://cadse.imag.fr/index.php/faq/20-eclipse-ini-file.html link seems reasonable. It refers to the "eclipse.ini" file but the settings are the same.
You can add the instructions below inside your Eclipse shortcut as well:
"\my_path\eclipse.exe -vmargs -Xms128m -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m"

I am using Flex 4.0 and if I created new SparkSKin Component, the Eclipse hangs and later it throws an out of memory error. Can you please tell me how to create new spark skin component.
