This looks like a common conflict between browser and flash if you use "wmode=transparent" in the embedding code for the flash.
If you use "window" as wmode, it should work.
If you can't use it, because it would break your design, be ready to implement huge workarounds.
Well... because we play the swf in an iframe and the parent page has overlays that lay on top of the iframe, we have use window mode='opaque' .
