I downloaded Reader X but could not open any pdf files so tried to reinstal. I got the message that it was already installed so tried to uninstall but could not do it. The message was to say that it was using certain files and to close explorer. Dont know how I do that if I am using it to contact adbobe!!!! I now have a program which does not work and I really need to be able to get these pdf's downloaded now. Does anybody know how to get rid of the adobe from the system.
The easiest would be if you close all applications, especially web browsers, then try to uninstall again.
If that still fails, use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459) to remove the current Reader installation, then try again to install.
Thanks for that I have now uninstalled but cannot reinstall, it keeps coming up a fault whilst installing. Always had adobe before but if it wont work it wont work so I have download another pdf reader which is working fine.
