use the getChildByName method of displayobjectcontainers and you'll probably need to cast the child as a textfield.
Thanks for the quick reply...
How do I cast it as a textfield? I tried this:
TextField(getChildByName("myTxtBx")).text = "HELLO";
To no avail...
Nevermind... The casting had to be done after the addChild...
It worked great... Thanks again!
p.s. you wont be able to use the _arrBtnLbls strings to access any textfield whose corresponding string contains a space. you'll need to apply your replace() method to those strings.
