    Detecting when NetStream or Video() is paused?

    RandomReado Level 1

      I'm using the Video() object and a custom NetStream. Does anyone know how to detect when the stream is paused?

      In VideoDisplay and VideoPlayer components I can call the paused() method to return a boolean response, but I guess I need to create my own if I'm using the above classes?

          Hi,

          I'm not sure if I have fully understood your problem.

          But if you are using NetStream and wants to pause your video stream, you can just do:

          var nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();
          nc.connect(null);

          var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(nc);
          var video:Video = new Video();
          video.attachNetStream(ns);

          pauseBtn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, pauseHandler);

          function pauseHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
          {
              ns.pause();
          }

          Greets,
