I am totally new to Flash and Flex.
I want to ceate a Fash based UI Plug-in for adobe illustrator.
I have one Flash UI developed which gives me a output of .swf.
But to load it from My C++ plug-in I require the extension ".ZXP" to be installed using Extension manger.
Is there any way I can get this extension generated for me using Flash builder as it will take time to get a licensed copy of extension builder.
Any suggestions will be of a great help.
Are you using Extension Builder or the CS SDK?
Do you need to package just a CS Extension, or a hybrid plugin?
I am using the CS SDK.
My Flash UI will generates an SWF file.
But to install it using extension manager , I need to have this ZXP
Only when I install I can call this from my C++ AI Plug-in.
You can use the Packaging and Signing Toolkit to package your extension into a ZXP using a command line tool (ucf.jar).
The toolkit also tells you how to bundle your C++ AI plug-in(s) into the ZXP, if you're interested in that (look for info on "hyrbid extensions", as Harbs mentions).
