Rendering from PC for an iMac user

    robert_ro

      Hello,

what are the possibile ways to render an AE CS4 project from a PC (windows 7)  for someone that uses iMovie on an iMac?

I am looking for the smallest size possible. Is h264 cross plarform?

I want to render the project in QT format, but what codec should i use that will be ok on iMac?

Can someone help me because i want the person i send the video to be able to work with it in iMovie on an iMac.

      Please help me,

      Thank you,

      Robert

          Yes, it is.

Any of the standard QT CoDecs that are available on Windows, preferrably something with no visual compression like Animation or PNG or only minor one like Photo JPEG at maximum quality. Just don't go fancy or try to be über-smart as e.g. the DV CoDecs work differently between Mac and PC and H.264 is notorious for Gamma shifts, probably making it less ideal for what you have in mind.

            Thank you!

PNG or PhotoJPEG sounds good to know they work on Mac also.
