1. Re: CS5 upgrade without installing 3 previous versions?
Noel Carboni Feb 14, 2011 8:59 AM (in response to AvalosPhoto)You can put the serial number in from the prior version during the install. You don't need to physically have the older version installed in order to use the upgrade package.

Semaphoric Feb 14, 2011 8:33 AM (in response to AvalosPhoto)The Educational version is a great way to go - it is functionally identical to the commercial version, usually without the extra fonts and such.

3. Re: CS5 upgrade without installing 3 previous versions?
Bill Hunt Feb 14, 2011 8:58 AM (in response to AvalosPhoto)The previous S/N should do the trick.
With CS2 Creative Suite Premium and also CS2 Production Studio, I only had to stick my CS upgrade disc into the drive. That was from a long line of upgrades from PS 2.5 so very long ago. I had worried a bit, since everything had been in the upgrade path, and those two installations were on new, clean machines, but there was never an issue. Also, over the years, my S/N had morphed from 00-000-002, or whatever, to more current S/N conventions.
Good luck, and just have an earlier disc, and S/N handy.
Hunt
