Is it possible that this file has defaulted to the 2003 process version by accident? Probably not, but just thought I might mention it since that code does indeed have some NR at zero.

ACR shows "Process: 2010 (Current)"
I think that foveon related code was kind of neglected for quite some time... however if Sigma indeed will start selling SD1 that might cause some influx of new customers and it is time to dust off whatever is for foveon inside ACR/LR.
Yes, Foveon is an exception in that it has a different initial processing chain (due to the fundamentally different sensor tech). This accounts for the difference you're seeing. Unfortunately this is not my area of expertise, so I can't comment technically much beyond this right now.

yes, it looks like it is a cruel code down there... if you will convert .X3F to .DNG using Adobe DNG converter then even SilkyPix will show the same mess when working with .DNG instead of .X3F... __AND__ that also means that original raw data is lost - as the resulting .DNG is like linear DNG w/ Adobe's corrections baked in ?! now that is absolutely not good at all !!!
