Im trying to import a high quality image (3664X2748 and its a jpeg format) however when it is imported, the quality looks horrible. It looks incredibly grainy, however when I looked at it in Photoshop and Preview it was perfectly fine. I looked all over the web to get help however everyone tells me:
-turn off the separate fields
However this is already selected. My resolution is set to Full and nothing appears to get it back to its high quality. Can anyone help me out please?
Make sure that the layer quality is not set to draft. Also make sure that the image is RGB and not CMYK or lab color.
In addition to what Rick said, turn off OpenGL. If your graphics card isn't up to snuff, it will only show a downsampled version of your image.
Thank you for the effort however the issue had not been resolved. When I blew up the image in photoshop at 100% it had poor quality meaning when i imported it into After Effects it would show that quality. What i did was decreased the resolution of my image so the import quality of 100% would still look acceptable in quality. Thanks for the reply!
