Are you sure your null is 3D? Is the null a long distance from the camera? Are you taking the camera's point of interest into account?
1) The null is 3D.
2) It is a one node camera; no point of interest.
3) It's a reasonable distance from it. I tried to put it as near as possible. I'm just trying to get it so when I change the transformation on the null, the viewer moves (because it's looking through the camera).
Set your viewports to include all four views. Watch the overhead view, not the camera view. Move the null. Does the camera move with it? If not, your parenting is not set properly.
We're not watching over your shoulder so there's not much we can say other than, "Parenting works. Follow the instructions carefully."
Mind explaining how to set it so I can see four views? I don't normally use AE.
