1. Re: Acrobat X Trial ver - Test my Acrobat plugin
lrosenth Feb 15, 2011 9:27 AM (in response to athirukk)Without knowing how your plugin makes itself "visible" in Acrobat 8 & 9, it's impossible to say.
As you've probably noticed, Acrobat X has a completely new UI. There are no more toolbars, instead we have the Tools panel. And there are a limited number of menus.

2. Re: Acrobat X Trial ver - Test my Acrobat plugin
athirukk Feb 15, 2011 11:24 AM (in response to lrosenth)My plugin to Acrobat is a basic toolbar written in C++. Its pretty much simple as the sample project available in SDK (sdk91_v2_win/BasicPlugin).
Ok, I see things differently in Acrobat X. Does it mean the same plugin code which is working/loading fine in Acrobat 8 or 9 needs some tweak, so that it is visible in "Tools Panel" of Acrobat X?
If no tweaks needed, then why it is not appearing in the Acrobat X trial ver? Is that because it is trial ver?
Please clarify.
Thanks,
AT.

4. Re: Acrobat X Trial ver - Test my Acrobat plugin
lrosenth Feb 15, 2011 4:05 PM (in response to athirukk)If you are creating your own toolbar, then it should appear automatically in the Tools panel in Acrobat X. If you are adding tools to an existing toolbar, then it should still be appearing in the Tools panel - but not grouped with the original tools (but in a new toolbar).
If you are not seeing it at all, then you'll need to submit a support request though channels...
But trial version is FULLY FUNCTIONAL.

5. Re: Acrobat X Trial ver - Test my Acrobat plugin
athirukk Feb 16, 2011 11:07 AM (in response to lrosenth)Ok. It works now. It was my installer issue than Acrobat X trial version issue.
I could see my toolbar appearing in the right hand side so called "Tools Panel". But only thing which looks little unorganized is the way my toolbar buttons rendered in the Tools Panel. It is rendered sequential from top to bottom (not left to right). That is fine for now.

lrosenth Feb 16, 2011 12:07 PM (in response to athirukk)If you want, you can now add text descriptions or improve the layout for Acrobat X.

athirukk Feb 16, 2011 12:27 PM (in response to lrosenth)Does this mean we can avoid tooltips for the tool button and have description about the tool button inline?

9. Re: Acrobat X Trial ver - Test my Acrobat plugin
athirukk Feb 16, 2011 12:45 PM (in response to lrosenth)That would be cool and will look good instead of just array of vertical buttons alone. Thanks and I will try this now.
