Since I have upgrade to Reader 10, PDF files open inside my Firefox and Chrome browsers.
This is in spite of the fact that in Preferences/Interenet I unchecked "display PDF in browser.
In IE8 it is OK, i.e. opens in the application.
OS is Vista.
How can I get it to open in the application?
in FireFox :
goto Tools -> Add-ons
under "Plugins" tab, select "adobe acrobat"
click "DISABLE" (will change from "disable" to "enable")
it is probably a similar process for Chrome and other browsers.
i expect that this would work for all versions of adobe & FF
