currentItem and currentIndex are valid ONLY when the repeater is actually rendering the children.
To access the data underlying a given repeated view, look at getRepeaterItem(). Also look at getChildIndex()
hmm, thanks for the response tracy, but that only works on events.
You see, I've binded an array collection made up of objectProxy elements. I want to bind, myAC[index].name to a text property of a textInput inside of a repeater, however, I can't get index using currentIndex once the arrayCollection is modified during runtime.
getRepeaterItem and getChildIndex only work on events, from my understanding.
I ended up using repeater_instance.currentItem.varName and so on instead of binding to text property of a textField my Arraycollection(myAC.getItemAt(repeater_instance).varName.
