I can't reproduce the issue using a simple code snippet. Can you please log a bug in our bug base, https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FM , so we can track the issue more easy. Also we will apreciate if you can provide us a sample code that reproduces your issue.
I'll create a ticket and try to provide more information. Here is some sample code, am I doing something completely wrong here?
media = createVideoElement(videos[_videoIndex]); // Returns a VideoElement
mediaplayer.autoPlay = false;
mediaplayer.media = media;

It looks ok. Can you provide the code for createVideoElement as well?
This is the snipet that works for me:
var resource:URLResource = new URLResource("http://mediapm.edgesuite.net/strobe/content/test/AFaerysTale_sylviaApostol_640_500_short.f lv");
// Create the MediaElement and add it to our container class.
var videoElement:VideoElement = new VideoElement(resource);
var mediaPlayer:MediaPlayer = new MediaPlayer();
mediaPlayer.autoPlay = false;
mediaPlayer.media = videoElement;
I tried your code snippet and what made it work was recreating the MediaPlayer.
This led me to suspect that an event listener on the old MediaPlayer instance was causing my problem. Searched through the code and found the issue.
Thanks for the help Gelu.
