I am creating this site www.cassiels.com and want to add hotspots to the header on the dove and the words.
How do I do this? My header image is in as a background because when I insert it as an image, it doesn't line up.
OR how do I make my image line up smooth and flush with the header if I just insert an image?
Consider this - your page has no content on it. This is one of the most valuable pages in the entire site, and you have no content there. Usually this would be regarded as a serious error in terms of usability and SEO.
Anyhow, you cannot put a hotspot on a background image. At worst, you could just put a transparent PNG or GIF image with the desired dimensions so that it is located above that spot and put the hotspot on the transparent image. A better solution would be to redesign the page so that you can accommodate some keyword-rich content, and then perhaps you could like that image directly instead of using a hotspot.

To add a bit to Murray's sage advice, use Fireworks for images only. Use Dreamweaver to build your HTML and CSS.

I completely agree about the homepage of this design, HOWEVER the client is always right and they want this sort of page... in spite of my recommendations.
Thank you for the suggestion on the hotspot situation. It isn't on the index page that I have the problem. It is on the other pages.
