Almost certainly a lack of understanding, so would be
grateful for guidance.
I created a Director projector containing Shockwave 3D
models. I installed the latest Full Shockwave player (not the slim
version) on the target PC along with the Director projector, but
the models were missing, clicking where the models should have
appeared produced' Script error'.
I found that I had omitted to include the xtras, NetFile.x32,
NetLingo.x32 and INetURl.x32.
Including these in the projector resulted in the Shockwave
models appearing and behaving correctly.
My queries are, why do the Net... files make the models
appear and function correctly and am I correct in thinking that the
Shockwave Player doesn't actually need to be installed?
Yes, as long as you include the required xtras either bundled
projector, or alongside it in a folder named 'xtras', you
Shockwave to be installed.
