    Internal Linking in Flash

      With HTML we can jump to any portion of the page by putting the tag <a name="something">jump here</a> at any portion of the page and then linking to #something. Can I do something similar in flash? How to it make it so that the user can jump to any position on a flash file by simply clicking?

          Thats a good question and one i have never though of in flex. But if i had to consider how to do this i would imagine that i would set focus on a child component via a button or a link button. Though this is untested i believe it would work...

          Ill try to through and example together and posted later. I have a conference call i have to attend for work :-)

            here is a basic example.

            <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
            <s:Application xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
               protected function button1_clickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
              <!-- Place non-visual elements (e.g., services, value objects) here -->
            <s:Button label="focus" click="button1_clickHandler(event)"/>
            <mx:Canvas id="Canvas1" y="600"  width="400" backgroundColor="black" height="193">
             <s:TextInput id="textTest"/>
