Then you are talking about something more sophisticated, and are probably hoping to not have to program it (from scratch) yourself (which could be lots of fairly technical programming).
Box2DFlash is what you are looking for - it's a 2D physics engine that was ported to AS from C++.
You need to download this AS library and learn how to use it first, of course, but there are lots of demos for you to see examples of. Let us know if this suits your needs (it will, and then more...lots more...it allows for tons of functionality).
