You might want to check the PPBM CS5 database for performance results, to see if any of the new MBP's show up.
Note that with the ATI/AMD graphics card, you will not have CUDA/Hardware MPE support.
MPE is interesting, but with such a small set of graphics cards supported, kind of useless for anyone that doesn't have a desktop rig that they upgrade themselves.
Are there ANY (I would guess it would be a Windows laptop) laptops that support MPE?
To be honest, I'm perfectly fine w/ PPCS5's performance right now w/ my dual core i7, just wondering if these new Mac's could potentially be worth the upgrade for a small business.
Do you like when everyone in the room including Mac haters turn head to see you being awesome and looking like a pro? Macbook Pros aren't the type of systems with the beefiest specs, and are certainly expensive, but I've begun realizing that appearance is 50% of what your clients rate you by. Also it's a pretty average editing expeirence... I haven't heard of anyone's experience with the Thunderbolt tech yet.
