1. Re: CS4 video is jerky in Premiere where CS2 runs fine, PProHeadless errors
JSS1138 Feb 28, 2011 2:49 PM (in response to photojock007)I can't say this is definitively causing your issue, but you should consider a serious upgrade if you want to be running CS5.
A Core i7 processor, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, 12 GB of RAM are good minimums to consider for CS5.

photojock007 Feb 28, 2011 4:56 PM (in response to JSS1138)You hit the nail on the head but I have had absolutely no problems running CS4 on my P4 until I installed the Blu-ray...have done many finished projects on this system.
I am researching a new build but when I ran into this problem with CS4 and could/cannot get any answers to the problem it caused me to think again about the investment.
I can build a powerhouse i7 with all the bells and whistles for 1K or less but if I am going to have to change OS's and 32 to 64bit I am thinking MAC since I am in broadcast and that is the standard. But, I know Adobe and really don't want to give it up...if I can fix this so I can continue work while I am building a new one it would be great!
Any other ideas?

3. Re: CS4 video is jerky in Premiere where CS2 runs fine, PProHeadless errors
Harm Millaard Mar 1, 2011 1:47 AM (in response to photojock007)If you are thinking MAC, 1K needs to be doubled, but then you can't use BR, because Steve Jobs hates BR and is not supported on MAC.
Installing a BR burner has nothing to do with your problems running CS4. It is something else, that may be related to your weak hardware. Every new version requires more and better hardware. If CS2 works, and CS4 does not, at least not adequately, stay on CS2 until you have the funds to upgrade your system.
BTW, 1K will give you a bare minimum system, not a powerhouse.
