    Paralleling and SimpleMotionPath with external SWF animation

      I am trying to sync up an animation in Flex with one that is in an external Flash file. Currently, on a button click I am calling decreaseMovie.play(); and also calling mc.gotoAndPlay('collapse'); (Where mc is my movie clip); I have the code below. This looks decent, but there must be a way to Parallel both animations to make it look more sleek. Does anyone have any idea how to do this?

      protected function btn_clickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void{
                          mc.gotoAndPlay('collapse');
                          decreaseMovie.play();
                      }

      <s:Animate id="decreaseMovie" target="{movieGroup}" duration="1000" effectEnd="endDecreaseAnimation()">
                  <s:SimpleMotionPath property="height" valueFrom="260" valueTo="30" />
      </s:Animate>

      <s:Group id="movieGroup" height="260" width="100%">
                <s:SkinnableContainer skinClass="skins.whiteContainer" height="100%" width="100%" alpha="0.9"></s:SkinnableContainer>
                 <s:HGroup verticalAlign="middle" paddingLeft="15">
                         <s:VGroup horizontalAlign="center">
                             <mx:SWFLoader id="ldr" autoLoad="true" source="movie.swf" width="616" height="251"  x="17"/>
                         </s:VGroup>
                   </s:HGroup>
      </s:Group>
