Changing web page locally without FTP access

    JayNewWeb Community Member
An associate of mine has a web site (www.thesimpleinvestor.ca) and wants me to help him add a section to a page (the Under Research page) but he has no FTP access. His partner does all that and is away. I offered to add the section to the page locally and give him the html file so it's ready for his partner to upload when they return. I thought I'd be able to open the web page in IE6, select View - Source, Select All, copy and paste that into a new blank DW html page (I'm using DW MX 2004 7.0.1), and go from there. However, when I tried that I was missing a lot of the formatting: background, indents, etc. I suppose they have a more complex site structure than just separate pages. I'm not a sophisticated DW MX user or coding expert by any means. I'm just a hair above novice. Is there a way I can access the html from their web site and do what I want to achieve for him? Thanks.

          Good insight:

THE simple INVESTOR is powered by WordPress.

If you're trying to change the page's structure, you want to be
careful. Page structure is set by WordPress, and you have to edit the
underlying WordPress includes in order to change it.

If you want to change page content, you can do so by going into
WordPress's interface and editing the page. You can do some minor
          markup in the WP editor.

And tell your friend to stop using underlines. Use italics or bold to
emphasize text; people have been conditioned to expect that on the web,
          underlined text is a link.
