Simple sum calculation not working

This sum calculation doesn't seem to be working, any idea why?

There is a picture of my form.

I added $1 and the left column is working and the bottom one is not.

I added $1 and the right column is working and the bottom one is not.

Here I added $1 to right column first.

And then the left. Same result. Thoughts?

Most likely the field calculation order is wrong. To set it, go into form authoring mode (Forms > Add or Edit Fields) and select: Forms > Edit Fields > Set Field Calculation Order

and set it to whatever makes sense for your form.
