This is what happens when you 'merge' cells....

murray how do i go about laying this out then... here are the sample page's
            > just graphic's ive put uploaded..
            www.atlantareds-msbl.com
            www.atlantareds-msbl.com/roster.html
            www.atlantareds-msbl.com/schedule.html
            www.atlantareds-msbl.com/stats.html

the only constant on each page is the header at the top of the page.. they are set as the background centered on each page... is it possible for me to lay the table over it and grid each page out...

Those are hard ones to start on - and will be hard no matter what approach
              you are using.

But I would have the header, and then a separate image to use as a
background image for each of the two columns of information. The image in
the left column would contain a piece of the image in the right column. I'd
make those different backgrounds load for specific pages. It should work
              like that.

You asked me how I would do those pages and I told you.

But I sense that you are a beginner with HTML and with DW from this and
other questions you have asked. If I am correct, then I beg you not to even
think of starting with a layout like that.

I'm assuming the boxes is where you'll have your content. Get rid of the inner/drop shadows, then make each box a layer (ie #news #lineup #scoreboard, etc) with borders (if you still want the "box" effect) and control them through CSS. Also, only create the graphics in FW, make the page in DW. It will save you a lot of headaches.
I would highly recommend you getting "Cascading Style Sheets: The Definitive Guide" by Eric Meyer.

Please read this very sincere suggestion. You are way ahead of yourself.
Take the time to learn some HTML before trying to tackle ANY layout with DW.
Then take the time to learn some CSS before trying to tackle these complex
                              layouts.

You may be rushed because you want to get these pages up in a hurry. You
will regret it if you plow right in and start slicing and dicing. It's easy
to devote many many hours to a failed approach, and then have so much time
invested that you are unwilling to start over....
