This sounds like the same behavior I see when printing from the command line. Are you only seeing it on Windows XP? Try disabling protected mode in the adobe reader preferences and restarting adobe reader - that makes this issue go away when command line printing.
Thankyou for that, it fixed teh problem. Yes i am running XP & protected mode was enabled. i had looked at that setting & disregarded it. Now i know better. Again thankyou.
Adobe is aware of the issue and working on it. The fix should be there in next release of Reader.
Please note that disabling sandbox mode might have resolved the issue for you. But it is advised to enable it once fix is there as it makes your system much secure.
