I am maintaining a very big e-learning application which library was coded using Flex 3.
It contains many template patterns and uses Cairngorm pattern of FLex 3.
How flexible is it to continue the development of new templates/modules in the same library in flex 4 or updating the compiler to flex 4?
Will the new compiler support every thing that was previously done in Flex 3?
I did some testing and they didn't work
Could anyone help?
Thank You in advance.
Take a look at backward compatibility docs: http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Flex+4+Backwards+Compatability
also look at the migration guide: http://www.adobe.com/go/learn_flex4_featuremigrate_en
I will read those and let you know.
