retract your bug report and unescape your string.
Thanks for quick reply..
I tried doing getUrl(unescape("http://www.google.co.in/#hl=en&source=hp&biw=1276&bih=786&q=flash&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&fp=9c 3e3d2d0ed9723a"));
but still not change.
The thing is with flash player 10.1 it was working fine but not with 10.2 ??
I am not sure if you got what am i trying to say:
I would try to explain it better way:;
The functioanlity which was working fine in FP 10.1 has been changed and its not same in Flash 10.2
Another thing, i am not using hardcoded URL's. This was just the sample URL i had pasted. If you see my very first post for this thread, you can understand better.
Are you suggesting to append ie=UTF-8 with the URL??
you don't need to unescape the string if you use the correct function:
if you insist on using incorrect code (like getUrl), unescaping the string works.
Hey Sorry about the typo mistake
BUT!!!! I am using the correct funciton "getURL()". Otherwise it would not have even compiled.

of course it will compile. it's as2. the only wonder is that it still works if you unescape the argument.
anyway, i can't duplicate anything you're seeing. getURL() works perfectly well using fp 10.2.152.32 debugger version. it's possible on your machine, using a non-debugger version of the same fp, that it all works differently.
