I'm going to create a iOS app in flash and convert. I'm thinking I may want to load graphic assets at runtime. I'd like these assets to be vector graphics so they can be resized easily with no quality degradation. I usually use SWF files ofr this purpose. Unless I'm wrong, a converted iOS app probably does not load SWF files. So I'm wondering what kind of vector graphics file format can iOS load at runtime?
Maybe something like Scaleform? Looks like it optimises well and I can't imagine these game assets are all loaded at initial fireup. Not sure it that suits - it will depend on the type of app I guess - 3d engine or not - unity, unreal, etc. I was impressed with the result of the hardware acceleration shown in the video below, that showed the result of the SWF playback in the scaleform player vs flash player. Hope this helps and gives you some ideas.
I saw another post that Scaleform has recently been acquired by Autodesk, so I expect it will receive the capital to grow a lot further.
If you find a good solution - please repost.
All the best.
