Screen Noise on Typing Text Animation

Using CP5 (5.0.1.624...  post patch that fixes previous Text Animation issues).

Sometimes our text animations (generally typing text, or typing text with sound) have a 'ghost' cursor, which disappears once the animation is complete...  Sometimes the cursor doesn't seem to 'keep up' with the speed of the animation...  here's a shot of how it looks:

Does this relate to how the typing was captured/recorded? What about when a text animation is added post-capture? Does anyone else know why this is happening, or how to prevent it?

Thanks in advance.

Try changing your slide quality to High Quality.  Does this help remove the "ghost"?

The ghost lines will display when your browser is viewed at anything that isn't 100%. Adjust your browser's view to 100% and the ghost cursors will no longer display.

hi,

Can you share your published project and edittime project for investigation.

Is your published swf is resized and played on IE?

Try publishing project with below preference option switched off.

Project -> Swf Size and Quality -> Uncheck Advanced Project Compression.

Thanks,

Hi,

Bit off topic (it is definitely the slide quality that is the culprit, if you are starting the SWF by the companion HTML-file): please upgrade your Captivate version, recently an important patch was released and the present version is 5.0.2.630.
