    Permanently delete unwanted frames?

I would like to PERMANENTLY delete unwanted frames and can't seem to figure out how to do it.  Help!?!

I've been able to make clips, but I can't permanently delete the unwanted intro.

You can either change the In / Out points of the clip, or use the scissor tool to cut at the start / end of the unwanted material and then delete the cut portion. Note that if you plan to use transitions you should leave a few extra frames at the beginning / end of the wanted portion (see Handles & Transitions - What are They?).

If you are seeing Frames, that you thought you had edited out, in say a Transition, you have not allowed enough Handles. As Neale says, you just need to move your In and/or Out Point so that those Frames do not appear in the area of the Transition. The article that he linked to will explain a lot. Handles are not an easy concept to grasp at first, but once you "get it," you will not forget it.

            Good luck,
